CHRISTMAS GIFTS FAIR 29/11/2008

  • 10am – 5pm: The Fishmarket Gallery, Northampton, Northamptonshire
  • Local youth charity LOWDOWN present a unique Christmas Gift Fair which kicks off four weeks of spectacular alternative Christmas shopping at The Fishmarket. This FREE one off event will offer gifts of all types from the edible to the wearable with mince pies, mulled wine and christmas cheer. All this for a fantastic local charity.

  • Althorp is festively decorated in the weeks before Christmas and is opening on just six selected dates, to offer parties of eight or more people an hour-long tour of the house, followed by Afternoon Tea in the sumptuous State Dining Room. Featuring home made sandwiches, scones and cakes, tea is served on Spencer Family china as a pianist plays the grand piano. Available on Monday to Wednesday December 1-3 2008.

A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 02/12/2008

  2. This year avoid parking charges and the Christmas crush and treat your family and friends to some interesting and unusual presents at Delapre Abbey’s seasonal Craft Fair. The big event is hosted by the Friends of Delapre Abbey and runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December. It will feature a seasonal raffle, refreshments and more than twenty stalls set in a marquee in the walled garden at Delapre Abbey, London Road, Northampton.

    Choose from an exciting range of handmade cards and foods together with a wealth of gift ideas including designer jewellery, ceramics, soft toys, leather goods, homewares, candles, soaps, textiles, paintings, pewter and stonework.

    Children can enjoy a range of activities including craft work shops and face painting. Everyone will have the opportunity to meet Santa and give him their Christmas lists. Adults will relish the festive food and mulled wine on offer at the Abbey Tea Rooms and all will enjoy the Christmas tree lights being switched on Saturday 13 December. Those who visit on Sunday 14 December will be invited to stay on and sing carols in the company of a local school choir.
